Keeping our roads moving safely
In 1996 Runnymede acquired a mobile speed enforcement camera in response to residents requests to do something about excess speed on local roads. The speed enforcement officer and his van, also funded by Runnymede is now a familiar site on the Boroughs roads.

Vehicle activated warning signs are now in place along the A320 helping to keep traffic moving and road users safe. This was done as a measured experiment with independent evaluation by renowned experts TRL. The effects of reducing speed and have generally been maintained.
