Advice for businesses on business continuity is available and a leaflet has been produced. This is available from the Safer Runnymede office or can be downloaded from the Surrey County Council website.
All local authorities are required to complete emergency plans to deal with civil contingencies. These are available here.
In an emergency accurate reliable information is vital and in Surrey all the agencies involved have created a web site; SurreyAlert.info.
This site would be kept up to date with relevant information during an emergency and has been designed to be resilient during an incident. It proved its worth during flooding incidents in The Borough when all through the incidents it contained up to date situation reports.
