Have your say before 25 July

News Release

16th July 2008

TIME TO HAVE YOUR SAY ABOUT PLANNING ISSUES

Council's public consultation runs until 25 July.

Runnymede Council's planning consultation on the future of the Borough ends on the 25th July. Residents are urged to 'have your say' on how future development and change could affect your neighbourhood.

The Council has directly contacted 500 organisations, businesses and individuals, and has made presentations to local Residents Associations about the big planning issues. These include: how many houses need to be built, and how climate change might affect us. If you want to find out more please log onto the council's web site: www.runnymede.gov.uk and click on 'Planning' and look for the '2008 Issues and Options consultation'.

Runnymede Borough Council Planning Policy Manager, Chris Hanson-Kahn said: "Here you will find six Issues and Options papers and a questionnaire. You can phone us on 01932 425278 and ask for a paper copy of these documents."

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Councillor Geoff Woodger said: "We would like you to have your say on how you believe Runnymede should develop and change over the next 20 years. Please fill in the questionnaire before 25th July, either on line, or post it back to us at the Civic Centre, Station Road, Addlestone, KT15 2AH"
