We are a group of local residents that have formed ourselves into a community group, with the help of Runnymede Borough Council, to assist them in the making of a completely new park to be called "Hythe Park" on an old underused allotment site known as the Pooley Green Allotments. A new smaller allotments site will be provided within the Park for existing users with room for new gardeners.

We are also attempting to make improvements to the existing Open Spaces in the area for the benefit of the community.

About us.......
We are drawn from the local community and anyone living in the surrounding area of the new park and existing parks is welcome to join in our meetings and become a member by giving full contact details.

Runnymede Borough Council asked some of us, as interested locals who attended previous consultation meetings, to form ourselves into a "Friends" group to assist in the design, funding and running of the proposed Park. More locals have joined us since that first step.

The new Hythe Park is but one area within a much larger Pooley Green Land Review which was charged with looking at all Council owned land within the Pooley Green area. There is only one Council budget for all the land in the Review so inevitably we have been drawn into talking about, and trying to improve, other parks and open spaces in the Hythe area.
