LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2000

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR ELECTED MEMBERS

In accordance with section 51 of the Local Government Act 2000, I give Notice that Runnymede Borough Council, at its meeting on 17 May 2007, adopted a revised Code of Conduct for Members and Co-opted Members.  This Code is now formally incorporated into the Council's Constitution.

Anyone wishing to view a copy of the revised Code may do by attending the Runnymede Civic Centre in Addlestone, where a copy of the Constitution is available to view in the main Reception area during normal office hours, or by visiting the Council's website at www.runnymede.gov.uk and following the links to 'The Council', and then choosing the links on the left hand column 'Council, Government and Democracy' and then 'Constitution'.

The Code of Conduct is set out at pages 310-317 of that document.
