In Runnymede, establishments offering massage and special treatments to members of the public have to be licensed. This will include businesses offering the following treatments: "massage or chiropody; electric treatment, radiant heat, light or electric vapour treatment or sauna or other baths for therapeutic treatment; or other similar treatment.

Anyone carrying on such a business who is not licensed should apply for a licence by contacting Technical Services and appropriate information and/or forms will be provided. An initial inspection of the premises will be carried out, followed by an annual inspection, upon renewal of the licence.
