Summer Playschemes for 5 - 11 year olds

The Runnymede Playschemes first opened their doors in 1990 and consist of Playschemes for 4 ½ - 7 year olds and Play Plus schemes for 8 - 11 year olds. The schemes operate for four weeks during the school summer holidays, at different locations around the Borough in schools, halls, and recreational fields.

The objective is to provide supervised activities and a happy and stimulating environment in which children can play safely with others of the same age. The staff are qualified and experienced in working with children. All staff recruited are professionally interviewed, referenced and background checked, processed through the Criminal Records Bureau and are then trained prior to the start of their employment.









All Playscheme sites are registered with OFSTED, who inspect regularly for quality. Children are not required to remain in pre-set groups for activities, enabling freedom of choice throughout each day.
