Biography:

Jonathan has lived in Egham since 2005. He was first elected to Runnymede Borough Council in May 2008.

He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Leisure and Environment Committee and Chairman of three Working Groups; he is also a member of the Planning Committee. In the past he has served upon the Economic Development Committee and the Housing and Community Services Committee.

He graduated from Royal Holloway College with a BA(Hons) in History in 2008.

He is passionate that Runnymede remains a sustainable community with first-class local amenities and services. To ensure that this continues to be the case he is against any overdevelopment that damages the social or economic fabric of the borough. He also believes that, wherever possible, decisions affecting the community should be decided at a very local level and not by central government.

Jonathan also enjoys travelling, studying Russian history and culture, reading a diverse selection of books and journals and adding to his very eclectic music selection!

Egham Hythe Councillors hold regular surgeries for all residents at the Hythe Centre. Details of times and dates are advertised in the local press, and on the Runnymede Borough website, at least a week previously.
