Commercial DJs across the country are helping people who want to stop smoking the nation’s largest ever public health radio campaign
Radio listeners are being encouraged to give up smoking through a series of promotional messages that highlight the benefits of quitting and the help available through the NHS Stop Smoking Services.
Street teams fro 40 of the 196 stations taking part will be in town centres getting people to exchange their cigarettes for sugar free lollipops and offering them the chance to win a luxury holiday in the Maldives.
Quitters can download entertaining podcasts, swap quitting tips and sign up for free motivational emails at the Big Quit website.
