Benefits - started work

You may qualify for an extra 4 weeks Housing Benefit.

Have you or your partner been getting for at least 26 weeks:

- Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)

- Income Support

- Incapacity Benefit

- Severe Disablement Allowance

Stopped getting one of the above because you have started work (that is expected to last 5 weeks or more), increased the number of hours you work or your wages have increased?

Then you may be entitled to Extended Payments of Housing Benefit.

To claim you must contact your Job Centre Plus or Social Security office. It cannot be claimed at the Council.
