Financial Forecast and Strategy

The Financial Forecast sets out the Council's spending plans over the next five years and their implications for the level of Council Tax.

Statement of Accounts (and Summary Accounts)

These documents provide information for recent years on the Council's income and expenditure during the year and balances at the year end. Our accounts are prepared in accordance with the accounting conventions which apply to all local authorities. The Summary of Accounts provides a much briefer and uncomplicated picture of the main statements.

Annual Budget Book and Service Committee outturns

The budget is approved by the Council in February each year and is the basis on which the Council decides what Council Tax it will charge in the next financial year. The Budget Book presents estimates of expenditure and income for all our services. It also includes various service statistics to put these figures into some context and provides details of our charges for services (e.g. car parks, lettings, etc).
