When you or an elderly neighbour needs a bit of help, it is often quite difficult to find it.

The purpose of this portal is to ease your search. It lists many people and organisations in the Borough who can respond with practical assistance. Some of them are paid professionals, some are unpaid volunteers. All offer a sympathetic ear and a helping hand.

But perhaps you want to know where to borrow a book, go for a walk, dig an allotment or just to smell the roses!

If you find mistakes or identify omissions, please help to improve it by telling the Community Services Officer whose address is printed at the foot of the page. He'll be glad to hear from you.
