Biography: Tony Davis was born in 1946 and has spent nearly 50 of his 61 years living in and around Addlestone. Tony was first elected to Runnymede Borough Council after retiring early from HM Treasury in 2002 and is currently Chairman of the Standards and Audit Committee and serves on the Corporate Management Committee as well as being a Runnymede representative on the Runnymede Arts Development Steering Group, the Runnymede Association of Arts and the Basingstoke Canal Joint Management Committee. He has previously had experience of the Licensing, Regulatory, Leisure & Environment and Economic Development Committees. Outside his Council activities Tony is Chairman of the North Surrey branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, a member of the Wey and Arun Canal Trust and the Surrey Wildlife Trust and enjoys the theatre and travelling around Europe with his wife Jennifer.
