Runnymede’s draft Sustainable Community Strategy is available for consultation from 21 May to 29 June 2012.  This document is key to improving the economic and social wellbeing of our borough, and provides the strategic direction for the Local Plan. Please note that these documents may take some time to download.

Dementia Awareness Week™

It is Dementia Awareness Week™ (from Sunday 20 May to Saturday 26 May 2012), Alzheimer's Society's flagship awareness raising campaign, . Please share this video to help raise awareness.

London 2012 Olympics

On Tuesday 10 July 2012 the Olympic Torch Relay will come through Egham. To follow the torch as it travels around the county see the BBC live feed.  For further information about the Egham leg of the Torch Relay, read our Olympic page.  

Information on water restrictions

From 5 April Veolia Water introduced restrictions on water use.  These restrictions includes the ban on the use of hosepipes or other similar apparatus to water gardens, allotments and plants, cleaning private motor vehicles, filling or maintaining a swimming pool, paddling pool, pond or ornamental fountain.  For further information and the full list of restrictions please visit Veolia Water's drought webpage
