Runnymede Borough Council operates four friendly Centres around the borough; they all have a lively atmosphere and provide support and the opportunity to meet people and make new friends.

They offer a 2-course, freshly cooked lunch (special diets are catered for). Wine can be purchased to enjoy with your meal, or maybe you simply want to relax with a cuppa and a homemade cake available from the coffee shop.

Many activities and services are available:

• Tai Chi and Keep Fit Classes, Indoor Bowls - come and join in the fun!
• Line Dancing - a popular choice
• Tea Dances - fancy a waltz?
• Games Afternoons - whist, bingo and quizzes
• Parties - many special events are held throughout the year, we don't need an excuse to hold a party!
• Day Excursions and Organised Holidays - enjoy a trip to the coast and visit some of the beauty spots in the British Isles.
• Hairdressers and Chiropodist - book an appointment
• Holistic Therapies - soothing and relaxing
• Advice - many agencies are regularly on hand to provide you with the answers to all those tricky questions, or help fill in those complicated forms. Among those are: Age Concern, Citizens' Advice Bureau, and Benefits' Advisors.
• Shops - groceries, wool and small gifts can be purchased in the comfort of your local Centre.

Chaperone Service

Our Centre Chaperone would be delighted to accompany you to your chosen Centre and introduce you to the Manager, who will make you very welcome. In no time you will make new friends and delight in the warm atmosphere found in each of the four Centres.

Our Valued Volunteers

Many of the activities and services at our four centres are provided by faithful bands of volunteers to whom we are indebted.

We are always looking to expand our happy team of volunteers so if you can spare a few hours a week we would love to hear from you. You could help on reception on a minibus or in the coffee bar or even organise and run a specific activity or event. We will reimburse reasonable travelling expenses. Speak to the manager about volunteering.

Centre Lettings

If you have a special occasion to celebrate or a party to organise you can hire any of our Centres. The Manager at your local centre can discuss your requirements with you.
