Flyposting

Flyposting is the illegal display of advertisement material on any building, structure or item of street furniture. Whilst under planning legislation, some temporary posters may be displayed without a formal application, this only applies where the owner's consent has been given.

Flyposting is unsightly and damaging to local amenity and the Council will seek to have it removed as soon as possible, working in liaison with the highway authority and private owners. Where flyposters are identified, legal action will be taken against them wherever possible.
