Biography: After an early career in the police service Peter Waddell pursued a career in sales and marketing, eventually setting up his own advertising agency in the Midlands He subsequently sold this to London agency and sat on the boards of various international agencies working on national and international brands. He joined Cherith Simmons Management in 1992 and is a partner.  The organisation provides management training and consultancy to local government, the NHS and the voluntary sector and blue chip organisations in the private sector.

He is a also a part time lecturer at Greenwich University and Bristol Business School

His MA is in marketing and he is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Energy Institute.

His hobbies include writing, watercolours, carpentry and restoring houses. He is a national standard marksman.
