Biography: I have lived in Thorpe for 25 years and stood for election as a local councillor because I was concerned about the deterioration of our village and surrounding community by the motorways, various waste disposal sites and of course the gravel raising and landfill operations. I took part in the public enquiry for Coldharbour Lane which was won for the residents and involve myself in all matters concerned with the environment.

I am currently leader of the Independent group, the only opposition on Runnymede Council and serve on the Corporate Management committee, and various working groups concerned with Personnel, IT and Local Government.

I also represent the Independent group on the Local Government Association, putting the views of small District Councils which are often ignored by Government Department who look at the larger Metropolitan areas, Counties and Unitary authorities.

Locally, I am interested in the provision for children under 8 yrs and am the Bursar of Thorpe Nursery Pre School and Governor of Thorpe C of E Infant School.
