Biography:

Cllr Jack Perschke was elected to the ward of Englefield Green (West) in May 2007. At that time he was completing an MSc in Sustainability and Management. This master's degree studies business and its relationship with society and the environment. This is a field he is pursuing professionally and an expertise he hopes to be able to bring to the council where he sits on the Leisure and Environment and Economic Development committees.

Before returning to the UK in 2006, Jack had been living throughout Africa and Central Asia where he was working for a British charity called The HALO Trust and the United Nations. Prior to his work in international development, he had been an Officer with the King's Own Royal Border Regiment which he left in 2004 as a Captain.

Jack is a keen skier, enjoys country sports of all descriptions and is an enthusiastic cricketer.
