Sport Unlimited is part of the new 5 hour offer for young people in England.  Nationally,£36m of new Government funding for young people's sport has been ringfenced for this programme.
Sport Unlimited funding is targeted at "semi - sporty" children, young people and young adults living in Surrey's 11 boroughs & districts.  It will engage them in an extra 1-2 hours a week (minimum 10 weeks) of high quality sport and physical activity.
 
Runnymede has previously run projects for Athletics, Basketball and Tri Golf. In order to carry on with such a great opportunity Runnymede Borough Council will be running two projects in the summer term:

Extreme Golf

Where: Addlestone Leisure Centre
When: Wednesday afternoons (for 10 weeks)
Start date: 22nd April 2009
Time: 3-4pm
For whom: Girls in school years 7 and 8
Price: £15.00 for the 10 week period

Runnymede Tennis

Where: Weybridge Tennis Academy, St Georges College, Addlestone
When: Wednesday Evenings (for 10 weeks)
Start date: 8th April 2009
Time: 5:30-6:30pm
For whom: Boys and Girls in school years 4 and 5
Price: £10.00 for the 10 week period
