Renewable Energy Interim Advice Note
The South East Plan, published in May 2009, superseded the Surrey Structure Plan on which the 2007 version of the Renewable Energy Interim Advice Note was based.
The update of the Renewable Energy Interim Advice Note reflects the policies set out in the South East Plan and is intended to assist applicants, agents and developers in completing an acceptable energy statement. The guidance sets out how to calculate the provision of onsite renewable energy measures to be incorporated within a development proposal to comply with the Requirements of the note. The energy statement is a required document to assist Development Control officers in registering and assessing a planning application.
The document was approved at the 17 February 2010 Planning committee.
