New wheeled bins are for sale at a cut price to residents who use Runnymede Council's garden waste collection service.

Householders who subscribe to the fortnightly collection can choose to continue using reusable sacks, or buy a 240-litre wheeled bin for a once-only price of £34.

The annual cost of the green garden waste collection scheme is £45 for a wheeled bin or three sacks, £40 for two sacks and £25 for one, and the charge is for emptying the waste and composting it. Anyone interested in joining the scheme or in buying a new bin should call the free Runnymede Recycling Hotline on 0800 052 0067.
