Refuse Collection and Recycling Services
Runnymede Borough Council aims to provide a high quality refuse collection and recycling service that seeks to protect the environment and minimises waste.
We aim to
Empty domestic wheeled bins on the same day each week
Where bins are missed due to matters beyond our control, empty bins the following day
Advertise in advance where bin days change due to holidays etc
Provide an assisted service for elderly or disabled customers
Return bins to where they were placed
Provide a weekly collection of cans, glass bottles / jars, newspapers / magazines and clothing for recycling
Provide a green waste collection service for a small fee
Provide 'bring' sites for a wide range of materials to be recycled
In addition, we
Can arrange collection of bulky items for a small fee
Provide a trade waste collection service for a fee which varies according to size of container and frequency of service
Provide and empty litter and dog bins
Collect clinical waste from domestic properties free of charge
Please help us by
Remembering to bring your wheeled bin or recyclables to the edge of your property by 06:00 am on the day of collection
Making sure that we can get to the bin easily to empty and return it
Ensuring that all your waste is contained within the wheeled bin such that the lid closes completely
Not putting items such as waste oil, paint, rubble or metal bars in bins
Not leaving out extra bags which we cannot collect
Try to compost and recycle as much as possible
Treating our employees in the same way that you would wish to be treated
