Refuse collection - fees and charges
Refuse is collected on a fortnightly basis. Your bin should be presented on the boundary of your property by 6am on the morning of collection with the lid closed. To encourage recycling and reduce waste we do not :-
Please be aware that compacting refuse within your bin may result in your bin not being completely emptied.
Please be advised that if your bin is not presented at the correct time or left on the boundary of your property our crews will not return to empty them.

Commercial customers must have their bins available for collection by 5am on their day of collection and should not deposit prohibited materials within them (construction waste, green waste, car parts engine oil etc) as this will result in the bin not being collected.

This service is available for the collection of unwanted furniture and bulky household items.

Any resident in receipt of means tested benefits may be entitled to one free fridge or freezer collection in a 12 month period. Items for collection need to be placed outside the property and be accessible from 6am. You can pay of this service using Debit/Credit card or by cheque.
Graffiti removal is a free service offered by the Council. If you wish to report graffiti please call our Call Centre on freephone 0800 052 0067. Graffiti can be removed from both domestic and commercial properties.

Street orderlies operate in the following areas:

Addlestone - every day
Chertsey - every day
Egham - Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday
Englefield Green - Wednesday
Pooley Green - every day
Woodham/New Haw - Monday/Tuesday/Friday
Ottershaw - Wednesday
Row Town - Thursday
Thorpe Village - Friday
Virginia Water - Monday and Wednesday.
Street cleansing crews
Street cleansing crews operate seven days a week and alternate between East and West of the Borough on a 16 week rotation.

Leaf clearance
Leaf clearance takes place across the Borough between November - December.

Mechanical sweeper
Mechanical sweepers work on a 10 week cycle one mechanical sweeper covering East and the other covering the West of the Borough. Where cars are parked, it is not always possible to sweep or cleanse around them, in particular where there is a risk of damage to the parked car.

HGV sweeper
HGV sweeper covers both sides of the Borough on a continual schedule.

Runnymede public toilets can be found at the following locations which are serviced on a daily basis.

The Precinct - Egham
Cricket Pavilion - Englefield Green
St Jude's Cemetery - Englefield Green
Gogmore Park - Chertsey
Eastworth Road Cemetery - Chertsey
Green Lane - Addlestone
Homewood Park - Chertsey.
Please report any fly tipping within the Borough to our call centre on 0800 052 0067. When calling please inform our operator the location of the tipped item i.e. footpath/highway/verge, type of fly tip i.e. green waste/ construction waste/black bags, size of tip i.e. small van load, no of bags etc of the materials dumped.
Any fly tipping on the actual highway (middle of a road) should be reported to Surrey County Council on 03456 009 009
