Refuse collection - fees and charges

Domestic refuse

Photo of bin

Refuse is collected on a fortnightly basis. Your bin should be presented on the boundary of your property by 6am on the morning of collection with the lid closed. To encourage recycling and reduce waste we do not :-

  • empty bins that are overfilled so the lid remains open
  • empty bins that contain green waste
  • collect any waste not contained within the bin (side waste)
  • bins that contain oil, paint, construction waste, metal bars etc.

Please be aware that compacting refuse within your bin may result in your bin not being completely emptied.

Please be advised that if your bin is not presented at the correct time or left on the boundary of your property our crews will not return to empty them.

To report lost/damaged waste or recycling containers please call the Call Centre freephone 0800 0520067
