Since late 2009 BAA Airtrack has been undertaking further work on the indicative railway timetable and level crossing barrier downtime modelling for the Airtrack services into Waterloo, Reading and Guildford. Additional information on various matters including the assessment of the effects at level crossings was made available as part of an addendum to the Environmental Statement (ES) on 12 May 2010, with a consultation period expiring on 23 June. It is expected that the Public Inquiry into the Airtrack scheme will be formally scheduled in autumn 2010 following the conclusion of that consultation.

Oneplace - Partners working well in Runnymede (10/12/2009)

An independent report published on the new national Oneplace website says that partners in Surrey are working better together. In Runnymede, local public services are reported to be improving things for local people.

The Audit Commission's new performance and inspection framework launched on the Oneplace website focuses on how well an area's priorities are being delivered by local public services. In Runnymede, the common priorities of local partners are set out in Making a Difference. Public services across Surrey have also signed up to a county-wide partnership plan, Standing up for Surrey.

Airtrack application submitted by BAA (10/09/2009)

BAA submitted the Transport and Works Act application for Airtrack on 24 July 2009. The consultation period has been extended by two weeks until 18 September 2009 to take into account summer holidays.

The documentation sets out the impact on level crossing downtime, but does not propose solutions. Runnymede Borough Council and Surrey County Council officers continue to work closely with Network Rail and BAA Airtrack consultants to identify measures to reduce the impact on level crossings in the area. A report on the Transport Works Act application will be presented to Runnymede Borough Council's Economic Development Committee on 17 September 2009.
