From 2009, the Partnership for Runnymede has committed to delivering the Making a Difference strategy, which sets out in one place our common long-term ambitions for the borough.
In developing the strategy, we have gathered evidence from a series of consultation exercises, central to which was a survey asking for the views of over 500 residents. A clear set of recurring themes and common priorities emerged on analysis of this and other surveys, which were further refined at a 'visioning' event bringing together local services, residents' and amenity groups, and voluntary and community organisations.
You told us that your key priorities are crime and safety, health and social services, economic prosperity and your local environment. Therefore we are committed to shaping a Runnymede of Healthier and Safer Communities and of Prosperous Communities.
Making a Difference, Runnymede Borough Council's Sustainable Community Strategy and Corporate Plan
More information about how Runnymede Borough Council will contribute to the delivery of this strategy can be found on the Runnymede Borough Council's performance management framework webpage.
As well as stating our long-term ambitions, we are also committed to eight action plans, which demonstrate how we will deliver against your local priorities in the next few years. Each of these action plans is the responsibility of one of the Partnership for Runnymede's task groups.
Four of these action plans are being delivered by existing local partnerships - the Single Group for Young People, the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, the Community Learning Partnership and Runnymede Business Partnership - which report to the Partnership for Runnymede. The remaining four action plans are being delivered by a set of task groups that were established by the Partnership for Runnymede.
