Public Charitable Collection Diary and Returns 2011

Persons or organisations collecting money or goods for charitable purposes in Runnymede Borough Council's area are legally bound to supply it with accounts showing the amount of money raised and the amount of money being passed to the charity concerned.

Residents donating money or goods have a reasonable expectation that all or most of the monies raised will be forwarded to the charity, but in some cases, only a small percentage of the monies raised actually reaches it.

The Council is, therefore, publishing a summary of the accounts on this website so that local residents can see how much of the monies raised was actually forwarded to the charity concerned.

Charities issued with a Street Collections permit or House to House Collections Licence should make a return to the Council within one month of the collection.
Home Office Exempted charities operating ‘house to house’ are not required to be licensed or submit a return to the Council.
