The Museum also serves as an information point for the public, offering an object identification service.

We are also a starting point for people researching local or family history.

Our Research Room is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays for people to come in and have a look through our photograph collections, look at our collection of historic maps, access our library or look through our database of collections.

Saturday 1.15pm - 3.45pm

Researchers are encouraged to contact the Museum ahead of their visit, either by telephone or email, so that we can ensure that items are available for them when they arrive.
